Several media sources are now reporting and confirming that the Shaun Rogers trade has fell through. Earlier this morning we reported that the Cincinnati Bengals acquired Rogers from the Detriot Lions for their 3rd and 5th round draft picks, however this is no longer the case as the Detriot Lions have traded Shaun Rogers to the Cleveland Browns. We’ll have more on this developing news shortly.
The Cincinnati Bengals have acquired defensive tackle Shaun Rogers in a trade with the Detriot Lions. The Bengals traded there 3rd and 5th round picks of the draft to improve on defense. Rogers played in 16 games last year with 39 tackles including 7 of those to be sacks. Good move by the Bengals to improve the defense.
The Cincinnati Bengals and starting linebacker Dhani Jones have reached a three-year deal. The deal is expected to be worth $2 million dollars for the 2008 season which is a great move by the Bengals after losing Madieu Williams earlier this morning to the Minnesota Vikings, this move allows the Bengals to still have plenty of cap space to work with.
Madieu Williams is no longer a Cincinnati Bengal after agreeing to a 6 year deal worth $33 million dollars for the Minnesota Vikings. Williams will join Leslie Frazier who selected Williams in the NFL draft. Look for Marvin White and Chinedum Ndukwe to get plenty of playing time for the 2008 season.
The Cincinnati Bengals decided today to make offensive lineman Stacy Andrews there franchise player which will pay him $7.4 million this season. Andrews started 14 games for the Bengals and played all 16 this past season due to injuries from other starters such as right tackle Willie Anderson. The Bengals can only use the franchise tag once which means Justin Smith’s career as a Bengal could be over as its believed he’s asking far too much than he’s worth.
Our new look is now live after being down for almost a week. We”ll be updating daily with news, opinions and site features from this point forward, be sure to tell your friends about us!
The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver is reportedly wanting out of Cincinnati after spending the past few weeks talking to media outlets along side with his money hungry agent Drew Rosenhaus. If the Cincinnati Bengals do decide to trade Chad Johnson then what exactly can we get for him? I believe a couple of draft picks including a 1st round would be great as the Bengals need defense badly if they want to get to the next level. Please share your opinion on what the Cincinnati Bengals should do with Chad Johnson in the comments section.
